PSYCHOLOGY SCHOOL BASED ACTIVITY

For the psychology school-based activity, I chose a Picture Sequencing Puzzle, inspired by Piaget's Cognitive Development theory. I divided the students of 6th grade into groups and explained the task by showing them pictures of a grown tree, a seed, and a sprout in jumbled order. I asked them to arrange the pictures in the correct order and write a few sentences explaining how a seed grows into a tree. The students actively participated in the activity, enthusiastically discussing and arranging the pictures. Through this exercise, they demonstrated their understanding of the logical sequence of events and developed their problem-solving skills. As they worked in groups, they also honed their collaboration and communication skills. After completing the task, each group presented their sequence and explanation, showcasing their creativity and grasp of the concept. Overall, the activity was engaging, educational, and helped students apply theoretical knowledge to practical problems.
