ENGAGING STUDENTS WITH ACTIVITY-BASED LEARNING

On the 21st, 24th, and 25th, I taught students of 9A and 9B using activity-based learning to assess its effectiveness. I used the chapter "The Unstoppable Soul Surfer" by Bethany Hamilton and incorporated activities like group discussions, role plays, and picture descriptions. In each session, students actively participated, making the sessions more interactive and engaging . I observed that teaching using the lecture method made students less interested, but using activities made the classes more interesting. I also realised that teaching using activities made them more attentive. It was clear that activity-based learning had a positive impact on student engagement.
